Is Democracy dead or alive?

Are you well informed?

Does your politician speak for you?

What choices do you have?

How can it be improved?

Free Wales in Europe

Since the first European Parliamentary Election in 1979 Wales has had little to offer in the form of an independent voice, next years Election will be different…….

What is Independence?

Cymru Annibynnol applaud the membership of Plaid Cymru for forcing their leadership to acknowledge the need for an Independent Wales…….

Cymru Annibynnol Statement/Iraq

Like the majority of people living in Welsh communities, Cymru Annibynnol did not support the invasion of Iraq by the British and American forces……..

Wales’ Stolen Inheritance

The escalation of plans to exploit extra millions of gallons of Welsh Water to aid the dried up Home Counties demonstrates clearly who needs who in any future relationship between an Independent Wales and her neighbour.

The myth that Wales cannot survive without handouts from the West Minister regime are obviously flawed…….

Y Fro Gymraeg

Two years have passed since Cymru Annibynnol submitted our policy ‘Y Fro Gymraeg’-blue print for saving Welsh Language Heartland Communities.

The policy proposed to stop immigration into areas of Cymru were Cymraeg is spoken by 40% of the indigenous population and should be made ‘protected territory’ with Local Property Register to create a pool of reasonably priced properties reserved for locals……..

Education & Student Grants

Good education is one of the most important investments a nation can make for its future welfare. We believe that public education should result in responsible and caring citizens who can think for themselves and are equipped with the tools and confidence to follow their dreams. We believe that public education should be a co-operative and joyful experience for both pupils and staff.

We agree with the National Union of Teachers that the education system is becoming overly bureaucratic, stressful, and destructively competitive.

IWP recognises the need for an authentic education that offers pupils:

  • powers of critical reflection – not just conformity
  • human and social values – not just ‘market’         values
  • participative learning – not just passive intake of material

Accordingly, we call for a radical review of how and why we educate our children and young adults.

IWP condemns the student loans system that results in students graduating as debt slaves while the private banks profit from long term interest payments. IWP deplores the rising cost of further education that is resulting in an increasing number of students turning to prostitution to make ends meet.

We demand an immediate return of Student Grants that would allow all people, regardless of background and financial status, to further their education in dignity.

Addysg & Grantiau Myfyrwyr

Mae addysg dda yn un o’r buddsoddiadau pwysicaf y gall cenedl ei chynnig er budd ei dyfodol.  Credwn fod addysg gyhoeddus yn creu dinasyddion cyfrifol llawn gofal sy’n medru meddwl drostyn nhw eu hunain ac wedi eu cymhwyso â’r arfau a’r hyder i ddilyn eu breuddwydion.  Rydym yn credu y dylai addysg gyhoeddus fod yn un gydweithredol ac yn brofiad boddhaol i’r disgyblion a’r staff.

Rydym yn cytuno ag Undeb Cenedlaethol yr Athrawon fod y gyfundrefn addysgiadol wedi dod yn fwyfwy biwrocrataidd, yn straenllyd ac yn gystadleuol niweidiol.

Mae PCA yn cydnabod yr anghenion am addysg ddilys sy’n cynnig i ddisgyblion:

  •       bwerau beirniadol myfyriol ac nid rhai cydymffurfiol
  •        gwerthoedd dynol a chymdeithasol ac nid

dysgu cyfranogol – nid derbyn goddefol ar ddefnydd.  Gan hynny yr ydym yn galw am adolygiad radicalaidd ar sut a pham yr addysgir ein plant a’n hieuenctid.

Mae PCA yn condemnio’r gyfundrefn fenthyca arian i fyfyrwyr sy’n golygu fod nifer o fyfyrwyr sy’n graddio yn gaethweision dyled tra mae’r banciau preifat yn elwa yn sgîl taliadau llog tymor hir.

Rydym yn condemnio’n hallt y codiadau mewn costau sydd ynghlwm wrth addysg bellach sy’n golygu bod nifer cynyddol o fyfyrwyr yn gorfod troi at buteindra er mwyn cynnal eu hunain.

Rydym yn erfyn am ddychwelyd yn ddioed y Grantiau Myfyrwyr a fydd yn galluogi pawb, ni waeth beth fo gwahaniaeth eu cefndir a’u statws ariannol, i barhau â’u haddysg, a hynny ag urddas.
